UPDATE: CyanogenMod 9 WARNING: You need to have an unlocked bootloader in order to install CM9. If you have a sim unlocked phone by a third party (other than Sony Ericsson), the bootloader unlock will completely lock out your radio functions, so no calls or anything. Bootloader unlocking should be in the file you download. Remember, CM9 is available but it is still a work in progress. Be sure to read up on how to install it first. WARNING: Intended for those who can not update their phones via PC Companion. Update to 2.1 before attempting! PROCESS WILL WIPE YOUR DATA JUST LIKE A PC COMPANION UPDATE! ALL CONTACTS AND APPS WILL BE GONE! BACK UP YOUR CONTACTS VIA GMAIL or PREFERRED APPS! BACK UP AND RESTORE APP IS NOT ON NEWEST FIRMWARE. Screen Off Comparison - Xperia X10 with CyanogenMod 7 with FPS uncapped vs. Nexus S. Who Wins? - Both phones are running Gingerbread 2.3.4 - Special thanks to Jerpelea and the FreeXperia team, Cobrato, JustinHopalo and many others! Info: Sony Ericsson capped the FPS of the Xperia X10 to around 30/sec making the screen off animation a lot slower than that of the Nexus S. Like the title says. FPS uncap for CM7 for the Xperia X10. Nice tweak to make the rom even better. Camera is still not working but we are waiting for the official SE firmware to get here to implement it. Overall scrolling appears to be better and the Screen off animation is now comparable with the Nexus S. Awesomeness! Per Cobrato from XDA Developers (forum.xda-developers.com FPS Cap Fixed for CM7.0.3 Final J22 Justinhopaolo discovered it when he is using Trip's GB Miui with Free Kernel. I found that he used Froyo's (free x10) gralloc files. So I tested it on mine and it works.
