May 9, 2012 - AT&T's certification process includes taking away features like tethering (unless you pay) and adding bloatware to the device. Again, I have an AT&T phone and it works wonderful. All you need to do is set up your APN and you are gold. (Menu, Settings, Sony Ericsson, done). AT&T will no longer support it as the Xperia Ion is coming out in June. Also the SIII launch is imminent too. AT&T has bigger fish to fry than the X10.

May 4, 2012 - AT&T no longer supports the X10. Mine is from AT&T too. It costs them too much money to certify all the upgrades. They are focusing on all the new phones that are coming out.

May 4, 2012 - Thanks for the info i might try updating My Xperia X10 nex week as its AT&T branded and 2.3 isn't avaliable for my phone yet...i think around June or so they were going "roll out more updates" if by then i don't get the update through Sony Ericsson's PC Companion i'm gonna try it this way! May 3, 2012 - Well, you can always try it. Not sure if it will work. Contact will be wiped, unless you have them saved on your sim card. The sim card will not be affected. I sync all my contacts through Google Sync/Gmail so I will always have them. Also, the backup and restore app that works with gingerbread is located in the description. You can back up your contacts via that app, download the new app when updated to 2.3 and restore. Doesn't work 100% though.

May 3, 2012 - How about simply removing the memory card before updating it to 2.3 i was thinking about that might work won't it? Also removing the Sim Card when updating...so Contacts Won't be lost?

May 2, 2012 - Yes there have been some people. Copy your contents of your micro sd to your computer and then download the formatter from sdcard . org. Reformat the microsd and transfer your contents from your computer to your microsd. It should work.

Apr 23, 2012 - Anytime you flash a rom it takes a bit of time for it to settle in. Your phone needs to build up cache for it to respond a bit better. My suggestion has always been to root, install xrecovery, rom and a custom kernel (so you can overclock it) . There are also flashable zips for the audio stutter issue and well as fps uncap if you just want to go the stock method. Right now I am on the ChampionSwimmer Xperia X10S rom which is pretty good.
